Educational Leaders & Blogs

Blogs are a great way for educational leaders to communicate and gain knowledge. It is always nice to hear someone else's perspective on a difficult topic; blogs are a means of gaining insight through other's experiences.
Also, blogs could be used for community communication. Educational leaders and teachers could post information on blogs for parents and students to see. The great thing about blogs is that the parents and students could also comment on the blog postings to let the teacher know they have seen the blog information. Blogs provide a technology based, fun communication option for educational use.

  1. Great idea for using blogs. Once our new school web pages are up and running, I am considering posting a daily blog and podcast for parents and students. I like your idea that parents can comment that they have seen the posting. They could also ask questions via the comments as well.

  2. Blogs are an excellent way of gaining that important insight that you might not have or realize you have. Blogs make us ask questions and seek to find that extra knowledge that may lead to making changes.

  3. I also agree with you in that blogs should be used as community communication. It can be beneficial for those who have home internet access to communicate on school issues. I hope to use mine as a tool to gain insight from others who can provide feedback and ideas. Good luck!
